Rick Vanzini, Senior Designer

Rick is an expert in translating ideas into environmental and exhibit components. His background in architecture and theater provide him with a unique set of abilities when designing exhibits. While maintaining architecturally correct scale and circulation, he uses theatrical techniques such as scale shifts, altered perspective, color and light to tell the story. He has designed for a variety of venues, including: the Berlin production of Blue Man Group; Steve Van Zandt’s Underground Garage Band Festival; architecture, commercial, film, and theater projects. He has worked on nearly all of ADI’s projects since its founding. Rick is involved from early concept development, through schematic, design, construction control drawings, fabrication supervision and installation. He facilitates the work of contractors and fabricators with particular strengths in refining designs to accommodate field conditions and adjusting to fabricators’ expertise.
